Black Olive Studio / DayTimer / Terms & Conditions
Effective July 21, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of DayTimer, published by Black Olive Studio (“DayTimer,” “we,” or “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to the terms of the app store you obtained it from. If you do not agree, do not use DayTimer.
DayTimer is a personal planning tool that helps you arrange a day into time blocks, adapt a live schedule, reuse templates, receive optional reminders, and review past days. It is provided for general productivity purposes.
DayTimer does not promise that a plan, timer, notification, widget, Live Activity, or Scheduled day will always be accurate, uninterrupted, or delivered at a particular moment. Device power-saving features, permission changes, reboots, and operating-system limits can delay or suppress reminders. Do not rely on the app for emergencies, health or safety decisions, legal deadlines, or any situation where a missed alert could cause harm.
DayTimer is local-first and provides no account or cloud synchronization service. You are responsible for access to your device, the accuracy of what you enter, and any device backups you choose to keep. Uninstalling the app or losing the device may permanently remove your app data.
How the app handles information is described in the Privacy Policy.
Subject to these Terms and the applicable app-store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use DayTimer on devices you own or control.
Purchases are offered and processed through your app store’s billing system (currently Google Play). The permanent DayTimer Supporter purchase unlocks the supporter color themes and removes the free template limit. Optional tips are consumable, may be bought repeatedly, and unlock no additional functionality.
Prices, taxes, payment authorization, refunds, and availability are controlled by the store and its terms, and refund requests go to the store rather than to us. The Supporter purchase can be restored with the app’s restore function using the same store account. Tips are not restorable.
DayTimer, its design, software, branding, and app content are owned by Black Olive Studio or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Your day plans, templates, and history belong to you and we claim no ownership of them. If you voluntarily send feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DayTimer is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, missed events or appointments, lost profits, or decisions made in reliance on the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for DayTimer in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including your statutory consumer rights.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and may update these Terms as DayTimer evolves. Updated Terms will show a revised effective date and are published on this page. You may stop using DayTimer at any time. We may terminate this license if you materially violate these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Your app store’s terms may also apply and will control where required.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@blackolive.studio.
