Black Olive Studio / DayTimer / Privacy Policy
Effective July 21, 2026
The short version: DayTimer keeps everything on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no server of ours for your data to reach.
This Privacy Policy explains how DayTimer, published by Black Olive Studio (“DayTimer,” “we,” or “us”), handles information when you use the DayTimer mobile application.
DayTimer is local-first. There are no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics or tracking software, and no developer-operated server or database. We cannot see your schedules, because they never leave your device.
The app stores what you enter or create in local storage on your device so its features can work. This information is not transmitted to us.
If you allow notifications, DayTimer gives your device’s operating system the titles and times needed to deliver planning, Scheduled-day, block, and completion reminders. These are local notifications scheduled on the device; nothing is sent through a push server of ours. Notification permission is optional and can be changed at any time in your device settings.
Widgets and Live Activities may display schedule information on your home screen, lock screen, or other system surfaces you choose to use.
Optional supporter purchases and tips are offered and processed by the app store you installed DayTimer from (currently Google Play). The store tells the app which products you own so it can unlock supporter features and restore them on a new device. We never receive or store your payment-card details, and the store handles your purchase information under its own privacy policy.
We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share your plans, block titles, history, ratings, or notification content. We do not use your information for advertising, and DayTimer contains no advertising or third-party tracking software.
Information may still be handled by your app store or operating system when needed to provide purchases, notifications, device backups, widgets, Live Activities, or platform crash diagnostics you have enabled.
Your app information stays on your device until you delete it with the in-app controls or uninstall DayTimer. Uninstalling removes the app’s local data. Your operating system may keep a device backup according to your own backup settings.
Because there are no accounts and no developer-hosted database, we hold no server-side copy of your day data to delete. Contact us if you have a privacy question about a store transaction or a support request.
DayTimer is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because the app collects no personal information at all.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information a company holds about you. Because DayTimer stores everything locally and we hold no personal information about you, you can exercise these rights directly on your device at any time. If you believe we hold information about you through a store transaction or a support email, contact us and we will respond.
DayTimer relies on the security features provided by your operating system and app store. No storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this policy as DayTimer changes; the effective date above will be revised when we make material changes, and the current version is always published on this page.
Privacy questions or requests can be sent to support@blackolive.studio.
